Officer Blackcannon is one of Firestars elite officers. He is a top scientist and mechanic and was recruited by Firestar for this very purpose. Most the new technology Firestar uses is derived from Blackcannons ideas. What he did before he joined Firestar is a mystery, but he must have been in a very high position somewhere...

Upon the teams battle with Blackcannon outside McKeaneston's home, it is now known that his backpack contains his most prized invention: The huge portable cannon that is attached to his arm. Not only does it fire off huge blasts of energy, it also emits a magnetic field which stops bullets dead in their tracks, all of this makes Blackcannon one fearsome opponent.
