Comet Squirrel is the main character of this strip (Hence it being called Comet squirrel and all), Comet is what you would call your everyday squirrel, cheerful, outgoing and friendly. Comet was raised by his father up until the age of six (He was told his mother died during his birth.), when Comet's father disappeared, Comet was taken into care at the Jaden care home where he lives with most of his friends, such as Tex, Nick, Kacey, and Bram. Comet has never really questioned why or how his father disappeared, he really doesn't remember saying either. The only memento he has of him is a charm that he can't even remember being given.
But Comet doesn't dwell in the past too much. He's a somewhat simple minded character who lives for now. He does moan a lot though, especially at clichés and overused one liners, something Nick is very fond of.
Recently, Comet's old friend, Rick Hawke has taken it upon himself to hide out with them, as it turns out he's wanted by the government. Comet and Rick don't get on really well. Probably because Comet's always snooping around him, trying to find out what he's keeping a secret from everyone...
